This year, What Willy Cooks will be at Hackney Bridge for his ‘A Willy Nice Day’, and it may have the best food lineup so far.
Four years into these parties, and Willy has put together a culinary spectacle the likes of which haven’t been seen since Jesus Henry Christ turned a fish and a loaf of bread into loads of fish and croutons.
There’s gonna be tacos from SONORA TAQUERIA, DOUGH HANDS will be providing their perfect pizzas, Max sodding Halley and the team at MAX’S SANDWICH SHOP will be dishing out their spectacular hotdogs; and James Cochran, the big fried chicken baron, and AROUND THE CLUCK will be delivering us some sorts of fried cockerel. Willy’s mate Mike and the gang from his new restaurant AUGUSTE have skewers of meat aplenty to distribute, and if you find yourself gasping for a sweet treat after all that, we have you covered with the mighty BEKU – an ice cream project by Zen Ong. They really are phenomenal ice creams. I am particularly pleased with this group of gastro-wizards and a good time is completely guaranteed.
There will OF COURSE be music all day with some of my favourite DJs playing, and there might even be some special guests if they’re not otherwise engaged in Ibiza or Scunthorpe.
100% of the profits will be donated to Save The Children.
